The Raw Society
Raw Photo Fest

Continuing the work I’ve been doing for The Raw Society and their annual magazine, I’ve recently created an identity for their latest venture: the Raw Photo Fest (RPF), taking place in the town of Alaior, Menorca, in May 2026.

Born from a desire to become an international meeting point for documentary, street, and travel photography, RPF is a place to share, to learn, and to be inspired—all infused with the authentic, sustainable, and welcoming spirit of Menorca. For the first time, the Spanish island will become a place to live photography: transforming into a stage where photography breaks free of white-walled galleries and floods into streets, convents, cafés, private homes, and open landscapes, creating an experience unlike other photography festivals.

The wordmark I designed is a natural extension of the already-recognised Raw Society brand. Designed to coexist with the wide range of photographic imagery featured at the RPF, the mark remains visually neutral. This neutrality is achieved through the use of simple, sans-serif letterforms that reflect the Raw typestyle and break out of the roundel.

The primary brand colour is yellow, inspired by the Menorcan flag. It is designed to evoke emotion and create a connection to the island where the Festival takes place. The yellow is intentionally bright and confident. It’s impactful, creative, and challenging. Together with black and white, this pared-back palette is intended to contrast with the rich photographic imagery associated with the Festival.
